Industry Reacts Positively to Rail Shows
17 November 2011
The NSARE team has recently completed a series of 13 highly successful Rail Shows around the country including detailed briefings on the new railway training accreditation scheme (RTAS) that NSARE is introducing on behalf of Network Rail . The events, led by Gil Howarth, NSARE Chief Executive, attracted more than 300 industry representatives from 160 different organisations.
Gil commented, "The industry response to the Rail Shows has been very positive. We have been able to engage with a wider group of people to explain the role of NSARE and encourage them to join us on our journey".
The RTAS briefings for accredited training providers were organised to explain the new accreditation system which is currently being introduced, for implementation at the beginning of 2012. Bill Alexander, Head of Training and Skills, said "The new approach is radically different to what providers are used to. There was a lot to cover and get across during the briefings and we are really pleased with the constructive response from the provider community to the changes we are introducing".
